North Valley (NVYO) Youth Orchestra is an advanced level orchestra. The ensemble is comprised of students, typically high school and early college, who are at an advanced level of musical skills.
If you have a passion to perform great music, can meet weekly for rehearsals, and are willing to commit to the necessary practice, we want you in our North Valley Youth Orchestra.
We offer a "ladder up" for young musicians. There are no limits! Our programs allow students to progress from North Valley Symphonettes, to North Valley Youth Strings, and then to North Valley Youth Orchestra. Some students even choose to audition for the NVSO Adult Orchestra. See our current members at the NVSO Youth Ensembles page.
The Youth Orchestra perform community outreach events and 1 concert at the close of each semester. The Director of the North Valley Youth Orchestra is Josh Lynch who teaches at Shadow Mountain High School, and is a member of NVSO Adult Orchestra.
