North Valley Symphonettes (NVS) serves typically middle-school-age musicians, but also younger and older players who fit best in this ensemble. Students must have at least one year of experience on their instrument, have finished Suzuki Book 1 (or a similar methods book), and possess strong basic music-reading skills.
Symphonettes provides an opportunity for young musicians to participate in an orchestra, very often for the first time in their musical career.
If you have a passion to perform great music, can meet weekly for rehearsals, and are willing to commit to the necessary practice, we want you in North Valley Symphonettes.
There are no limits. Our programs allow talented and dedicated students to progress from North Valley Symphonettes, to North Valley Youth Strings and then to North Valley Youth Orchestra. Some advanced students ultimately audition for the NVSO Adult Orchestra. See our current members at the
NVSO Youth Ensembles page.
There are no audition requirements for North Valley Symphonettes. Simply email email@example.com or fill out the Contact Us page and we will send you more specific information.
Our Symphonettes perform at least two concerts during the semester. The director of Symphonettes is Eily Hallagan, who recently taught orchestra at Basis Phoenix, and currently owns and manages Sweetwater Strings.
